Yarrow Collective: Peers of Larimer is an organization in Northern Colorado offering mental health support ‘by and for’ people with lived experience of mental health and substance use struggles. As an independent peer-run organization, we connect peers to one another, education, and resources so that together as a community we:
allow space for mental distress,
awaken to the wisdom of our lived experiences,
aspire towards healing,
amplify our voices, &
advocate for meaningful choice and change.
By peers, we mean people who have lived experience with a psychiatric diagnosis, trauma, extreme states, houselessness, oppression, problems with substances, and other life-interrupting challenges.
For us, peer refers to a relationship built on shared lived experience. Rather than an identity, peer support is something we consistently practice through mutuality and cultivating transformative relationships together.
Yarrow Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the state of Colorado and your donations are tax deductible. Support our work today!
